Pat Wood
CEO, Hunt Energy Network
Former Chair of FERC
Pat Wood III is the past Chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and of the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT). The son of a small businessman, Mr. Wood has been a forceful advocate throughout his career for customer-centered, technology-unleashing competition and for robust infrastructure.
Today, as CEO of the Hunt Energy Network, Wood and his team are deploying a portfolio of distributed power assets across Texas. By the end of 2023, the team expects to have a portfolio of 25 distribution-interconnected batteries attached to the ERCOT power grid.
Mr. Wood has served as a director of a number of public energy companies: independent power producer Dynegy (Board chairman); solar pioneer SunPower (lead independent director), modular nuclear generation (NuScale) sponsor Spring Valley Acquisition Corp., natural gas producer Memorial Resource Development, and specialty construction firm Quanta Services. Mr. Wood is vice chair of the board of Luma Energy, overseeing the Quanta-ATCO joint venture to rebuild and operate the Puerto Rico utility system.
Gillian Clegg
Vice President, Energy Policy and Procurement
Pacific Gas and Electric
Clegg has more than two decades of experience in the energy policy and procurement field. Since joining PG&E in 2007, she has held key roles of increasing responsibility within the company's Energy Policy and Procurement team. Clegg's extensive experience includes effectively negotiating and procuring agreements for renewable energy, energy storage, resource adequacy and other wholesale market products, and overseeing planning, analysis and financial hedging for PG&E's electric portfolio. Additionally, she has developed numerous policy positions to support customers in legislative and regulatory matters.
Prior to PG&E, Clegg served as a Quantitative Analyst for Powerex, a power and natural gas trading company in Vancouver, Canada.
William Walsh
Vice President, Energy Procurement & Management
Southern California Edison
William Walsh is vice president of the Energy Procurement and Management organization at Southern California Edison (SCE). He is responsible for SCE’s wholesale energy contracting and management, energy and emissions trading, and wholesale energy market and settlement operations.
Previously, William was an Assistant General Counsel in the SCE Law Department. His groups were responsible for cybersecurity, litigating the company’s positions before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and all transactional work related to SCE’s energy procurement, interconnection agreements, and supply management activities.
William has held other legal management positions at SCE, including serving as the Director and Managing Attorney for the Resource Policy and Planning group, Power Procurement group, and Contracts and Intellectual Property group.
William has also served as the Manager of Renewable Procurement and was responsible for leading a team of originators in the procurement of all of SCE’s renewable power through competitive solicitations, bilateral opportunities, and standard renewable procurement programs.
Located about 40 minutes from the Spokane, Washington Airport, The Resort at Coeur d'Alene is the destination of the 2023 WPTF Summer General Meeting.

The information to reserve your hotel room will be in your email confirmation. Note that changes or cancellations of your hotel reservation must be made 14 days in advance of your arrival date to avoid forfeiture of your one night's deposit.
WPTF holds a golf tournament at each of its meetings. Join us on Thursday, Thursday, August 24th at the world famous Coeur d'Alene golf course. The Summer 2023 tournament will be individual play with tee times beginning at 9:00 a.m. Email frank@wptf.org for additional information on the golf outing.

Cancellations will be accepted without penalty through Friday, August 18, 2023. If you are a member and cancel after that date, you will receive a cancellation invoice for $400 to cover some of the costs associated with guarantees WPTF has made with the hotel.
I'm registered as a non-member and I can no longer attend the meeting. Can I get a refund?
Refund requests will be honored through Friday, August 18, 2023. After this date, refunds will not be issued because all hotel food and beverage and conference supplies will have been guaranteed by that date. However, substitutes are welcome to attend in your place. Please send substitution information to frank@wptf.org. Refunds will not be processed until after the conference.
