Alteration of Attendance Fee: All General Members will continue to have representatives attend the
WPTF General Meetings free of any conference fee up to three (3) representatives. Any representative
from General Members beyond that number will pay a $500 conference fee for each additional
representative. Board members may send up to 6 representatives free of charge to General Meetings. Any representative of the Board Member companies beyond that number will pay $200 for each
additional representative.
Cancellation Fees: For all cancellations/”no shows” after the beginning of the week of the General Meeting, a $500 cancellation fee shall be applied.

WPTF is a broad-based organization with over 100-member companies, dedicating to encouraging competition in Western states electric markets. Scott comes to this position from a background that has been dedicated to competitive electric and natural gas markets.
Prior to coming to WPTF, Scott was the Senior Market Advisor in the Policy Office at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) from 2008-2017. He was responsible for advising the Commission and staff on electric and natural gas markets.

Patrick McCormick was appointed to the position of Special Counsel to the United States Committee on Energy and Natural Resources in April 2011 by U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, the Committee's Ranking Republican. He provides counsel and advocacy on all matters within the committee's jurisdiction especially as they bear on the security, adequacy, reliability and affordability of the nation's energy supply resources and delivery infrastructure.
Prior to this appointment, he was with Hunton & Williams LLP where he was a partner and the leader of the regulated markets and energy infrastructure practice in the firm's Washington office. McCormick's private practice focused on representing clients and advising executives on matters pertaining to energy regulation and infrastructure development.
Before joining Hunton and Williams in 2005, McCormick was the managing partner for the Washington office of Balch & Bingham LLP for more than a decade. Earlier in his career he served as deputy assistant general counsel for electric rates and corporate regulation with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and in positions of increasing responsibility in the law and governmental affairs departments of Potomac Electric Power Company.
McCormick is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Maryland. He has been listed in Chambers USA and Best Lawyers in America.
McCormick earned a Bachelor of Arts in history at Wheeling Jesuit in 1977 and a Juris Doctorate from Columbus School of Law, Catholic University of America in 1984.

Rooms are $249.00/night.
Our room block is for Wednesday and Thursday nights so make your reservation and call the hotel to add additional nights before or after the meeting. Reservations must be made by July 16, 2025.
The information to reserve your hotel room will be in your email confirmation. Note that changes or cancellations of your hotel reservation must be made 14 days in advance of your arrival date to avoid forfeiture of your one night's deposit.

I'm registered as a non-member and I can no longer attend the meeting. Can I get a refund?
Refund requests will be honored through Friday, July 30, 2025 . After this date, refunds will not be issued because all hotel food and beverage and conference supplies will have been guaranteed by that date. However, substitutes are welcome to attend in your place. Please send substitution information to becky@wptf.org. Refunds will not be processed until after the conference.
